This brush handle is made from wood salvaged from a barn that has been in the Melton's family for four generations! The wood is red oak and is almost 150 years old. If you look at the pattern you will see lots of character. This wood tells a story!
This project involved a three-way collaboration. Rob Moffit at Chisel and Hound stabilized the wood with resin, and John at Grizzly Bay turned the handle.
The knot is a 26mm, V25 Fanchurian, the handle is 2.5 inches.
